António Manuel Moitinho Nogueira Rodrigues
António Moitinho Rodrigues has a PhD in Animal Science by the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (Portugal) and a Master degree in Animal Production by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - University of Lisbon (Portugal). Since 1984 he teaches at School of Agriculture - Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (ESA-IPCB).
Currently he is full Professor at ESA-IPCB where he teaches Animal Nutrition and Feeding, Dairy and Beef Cattle Production, Freshwater Fish Farming and other subjects related with animal production. António Moitinho Rodrigues supervised MSc and degree thesis, participated in research projects, is author of several book chapters and several scientific and technical papers published in international journal and national magazine (animal nutrition and feeding, dairy and beef cattle production, extensive production systems and freshwater aquaculture).
He is Director of the Animal Nutrition and Feeding Laboratory at ESA-IPCB and is research partner of the International Farm Comparison Network (IFCN) (dairy economist). As Dairy Economist, he works with dairy farmers and developed a model to estimate the fair milk price and an Index to evaluate the cost of milk production in Portugal.
As experts in Micropterus salmoides farming, he has been consultant of two largemouth bass aquaculture in Portugal.
