Assistant Professor of the Superior School of Technology and Management of Viseu belonging to the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu where he teaches since the 1992-2018 school year. Degree in Chemical Engineering by the Faculty of Engineering of the Coimbra University, has master’s degree in Materials Engineering by the Aveiro University and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering by the Aveiro University in the area of New Materials. Is author or co-author of more than 35 scientific publications with referee between international journals (European Journal of Wood and Wood Products, Wood Science and Technology, Bioresources, Holzforschung, Journal of Wood chemical Technology among others) national journals (Millenium, Silva Lusitania) and conferences proceedings (ECWM, Ecowood, Forest Congress, etc). Is referee of some international journals in the field and participant in European and national projects.
