Maria Teresa Pita Pegado Gonçalves Rodrigues Coelho
Affiliations: Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco – School of Agriculture (IPCB-ESA), Research Centre for Natural Resources, Environment and Society (CERNAS-IPCB) and Plant Biotechnology Centre of Beira Interior (CBPBI).

At 1999, she starts working as a Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco - School of Agriculture (IPCB-ESA).

She completed the PhD in Food Engineering in 2015 (Technical University of Lisbon) and the MSc in Plant Breeding in 1999 (University of Évora). In 1994 she obtained a Degree in Plant Multiplication Engineering and in 1990 a Degree in Agricultural Production (1990) by the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém.

She is a researcher at the Natural Resources, Environment and Society Studies Center (CERNAS) at Food Science and Engineering Group.

She is responsible for the Biology Laboratory at the School of Agriculture of Castelo Branco (Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco).
She is Member of the Ethics Committee of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco and President of the Pedagogical Council of the School of Agriculture of Castelo Branco (Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco).

Her main research work focuses on the areas of Plant Biotechnology and current research is focused on area of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants and Conservation of Plant Biodiversity.
At the moment she integrates several research projects.
