Cláudia Neves is a researcher at Polytechnic University of Viseu. She has a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry, a Master in Organic Chemistry and Natural Products, and a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Aveiro. Her line of research focuses on the use of by-products from the agrifood and agroforestry sectors and on the more efficient use of natural resources to develop innovative value-added products in collaboration with industry, contributing to sustainable innovation, circular bioeconomy, and food loss and waste mitigation. In recent years she has been involved in 10 R&D projects and is currently the Principal Investigator of the BioFeed project funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, and co-coordinator of the PRIMA project InovFarmer.MED.
