Jorge Oliveira has a PhD in Agricultural Sciences - Animal Science since 2006, a Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences - Animal Production and a degree in Zootechnical Engineering from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. He is Coordinator Professor at the Higher Agricultural School of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu and Researcher at CERNAS-Research Centre for Natural Resources, Environment and Society. He was President of the Directive Board and President of the Pedagogical Council at the Higher Agricultural School of Viseu. He has published more than 2 dozen articles in scientific journals, 7 chapters in books and is co-author of 6 books. He has been part of the organising and scientific committees of dozens of scientific events. He is supervising or has supervised more than a dozen master's theses. He has received 6 awards and/or honourable mentions. He has coordinated 2 projects and is currently coordinating 1 PRR project. He has participated or is currently a researcher in 11 national and international projects.
