Maria Adelaide Homem Perdigão Pito

Adelaide Perdigão completed her degree in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) in December 2003. She obtained her master's degree in Agronomic Engineering from the same university in March 2010, and her PhD in Agronomic and Forest Sciences in November 2016. She joined the Higher School of Agriculture of Viseu (ESAV) as an equivalent to Assistant during the first three years in October 2004, holding that position until August 2009. She then served as a Guest Assistant from February 2010 to February 2012. Between 2011 and 2015, she was a doctoral fellow (FCT) at UTAD. From September 2018 to March 2019, she held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the same university. From April 2019 to October 2020 and from January to November 2022, she worked as a Research Fellow at ESAV. From October 2020 to September 2021, she served as an Adjunct Lecturer at the same institution. She has been a Guest Assistant at ESAV from 2018 to 2024. Currently, she is a Project Manager for R&D at New Organic Planet. She has participated in various R&D projects and has numerous publications in scientific journals, along with participation in various scientific events. Her areas of interest include sustainable agriculture, organic production, soil science, agriculture and the environment, the nitrogen cycle, green manuring, composting, and aromatic and medicinal plants.
