Maria Eduarda Moreno Silveira
Eduarda Silveira holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences focusing on Microbiology from the University of Porto. She has been teaching since 2015 and is currently a full-time faculty member at Vasco da Gama University School and a part-time lecturer at the University of Coimbra. Since 2018, she has been a member of Vasco da Gama's Scientific Council. Her research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, genetic environments, and alternatives to combat resistant bacteria, particularly exploring marine metabolites. She advocates for Science Communication and initiated key awareness projects on antimicrobial resistance. Additionally, she has participated in outreach activities and contributed to a European Commission report on barriers to national antimicrobial resistance policies. From 2018 to 2022, she also led the Vasco da Gama Research Unit, managing research projects and teams.
