IPCB – Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco

Starting its activity in 1980, the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) has become a reliable reference in the high level qualification of citizens, in the production and diffusion of knowledge, as well as in the cultural, artistic, technological and scientific training of its students in an international frame of reference.

It proposes a wide training offer in its six higher schools: Agrarian High School; School of Applied Arts; School of Education, Dr. Lopes Dias High School, School of Management, and School of Technology.

The IPCB’s human heritage, which includes teachers, non-teaching staff, students and representatives of society, is the most important asset of the institution. It is an institution that privileges the merit and is strongly committed to teaching quality. At the same time, it seeks regional, national and international projection in science, research and innovation.

It is an active institution with people capable of promoting and strengthening internal and external synergies, both at the local and regional, national and international levels. It is committed to cooperate with local political power, social and cultural institutions, business organizations and educational institutions, promoting scientific, technical, artistic, cultural and civic growth for those seeking the Institution.

The IPCB is determined to evolve into a more prepared institution to compete and win in a changing world, becoming a stronger and more interventional institution and making a decisive contribution to the social, cultural and economic development of the region and the country.
