António Manuel Santos Tomás Jordão
António Jordão is Coordinator Professor of Food Science and Food Technology at Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV) and member of the CERNAS - Research Centre for Natural Resources, Environment and Society, and collaborator of Chemistry Research Centre of Vila Real (CQ-Vr), Portugal. Both research units recognized by the Portuguese National Funding Agency for Science, Research and Technology (FCT). In the last FCT evaluation, both research centers were classified as Very Good. Currently, he is also a Visiting Professor at two Brazilian Universities in the respective postgraduate programs: Postgraduate in Agronomy from Paraná State University and Postgraduate in Biotechnology and Natural Resources from Amazonas State University. He graduated in Agro-Industrial Engineering (1996) from Agronomy Higher Institute of Technical University of Lisbon, Master of Food Science and Technology (1999) and PhD in Agro-Industrial Engineering (2006) from the same institution. Coordinator of Viticulture and Enology Technical Course having also been Director of the Food Engineering Degree Course in IPV. During his career he has also held several academic management positions: Vice-President of the Board and the Scientific Council, both positions at the IPV- School of Agriculture.
