Ana Matos
She has a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), a Master's Degree in Animal Production, and a degree in Veterinary Medicine from UTAD. MBA-Vet by the Ordem dos Médicos Veterinários (OMV) and International Faculty for Executives (IFE), she has been a lecturer at the Escola Superior Agrária do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco since October 1999. She is responsible for several Curricular Units (CUs) in the area of Veterinary Sciences and has collaborated in the teaching of other CUs in the area of Animal Production. Since 2018, she has been the Coordinator of the Veterinary Nursing Degree and led the process of restructuring the curriculum plan for this course (2023). She was the Coordinator of the CTeSP in Veterinary Care from 2014 to 2018. She supervises internships for the CTesP in Veterinary Care, the Degree in Veterinary Nursing and Animal Production, Master's dissertations, and co-supervises PhD theses in Veterinary Sciences. Vice-President of the ESACB Pedagogical Council (2021-2023); Head of the Anatomy, Histopathology, and Parasitology Laboratories since 2012 and Member of the ESACB Scientific Council since 2018. She is an integrated member of the CERNAS Research Center (Center for Natural Resources, Environment, and Society Studies), focusing her research activity in the areas of Wild Animal Pathology. She is the author of articles in indexed journals, book chapters, and communications at scientific and technical meetings. She has been deputy director of the ESACB since May 2023.
