Isabel Maria Melo Mendes dos Passos
She has a degree in Biology (University of Évora, 2005) and Masters’s in Applied Ecology focused on the issue of invasive plant species (University of Aveiro, 2014).
Currently, she is doing a Ph.D. in Geography at the University of Coimbra, being part of CERNAS – Center for Natural Resources, Environment, and Society of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, where she has been working on the impact of climate change on Mediterranean flora species, a work supported by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia through an investigator grant (UI/BD/152853/2022).
Research interests include flora, vegetation, the enhancement and preservation of natural resources, and global and climatic changes.
Previously she was working in environmental consultancy (from 2008 to 2021), first as a field and office technician, and later as a project manager, and general project coordinator.
