Maria Cristina Canavarro Teixeira

She holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research (2011) from the University of Córdoba, Spain, a Master's degree in Operations Research (2003), and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Operations Research (1993) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Since 1996, she has been a faculty member at the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB), serving as an Adjunct Professor in the scientific areas of Mathematics and Statistics.

Her teaching focuses on applied mathematics, specifically computational modeling and decision support systems, as well as applied statistics for data analysis and treatment. She has been a member of various management bodies at ESA-IPCB and of IPCB committees. Additionally, she provides training in Computational Statistics courses (Excel, SPSS, and R).

She has completed training in several areas, including b-on/IPCB content (2010), Pedagogical Training for Faculty at IPCB - Pedagogical Method (2011) and Distance Learning (2012), and Online Teaching Training from Universidade Aberta (2020/2021). She has national and international scientific publications, participates in the review of scientific articles, and is involved in research projects.
