Rosinda Leonor dos Santos Pato
Rosinda Leonor S. Pato is a Senior Technician at the Technical-Pedagogical Support Unit - Soil and Fertility Laboratory at the Higher School of Agrarian Studies of Coimbra (ESAC). Her academic background includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Production (Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra/Higher School of Agrarian Studies, 1991),
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomic Engineering (Technical University of Lisbon/Institute of Agronomy, 2001),
- Master’s degree in Environment and Land Planning (Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, 2007), and
- Specialist title in Agricultural and Animal Production (Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra/Higher School of Agrarian Studies, 2015).

Her professional and research activities focus on soil science, evaluating soil fertility, plant nutrition, fertilization, and the management and valorization of waste. She has participated in various national and international R&D projects, concentrating on the following areas:
- Valorization of organic materials in agriculture and forestry,
- Nutrient management in forested, agroforestry, and burned areas,
- Monitoring of production systems to minimize environmental impacts (e.g., nitrate and phosphorus pollution).

Additionally, she is part of multidisciplinary teams at ESAC, providing technical and scientific consultancy services to business entities. Her experience also extends to specialized training in agronomic and environmental domains.
