Verónica Oliveira
Verónica Costa Oliveira is researcher at Applied Research Institute of Polytecnhnic of Coimbra. She completed her PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering in march 2021 by University of Aveiro. She is young researcher who has already participated in more than 15 international and national projects. Published more than 20 articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals (h-index: 12), 1 book, 8 book chapters. 20 oral presentations and 12 poster presentations in national and international conferences/events. Organized more than 20 national technical-scientific events/webinars. Dr. Oliveira is guest editor in Urban Science with the special issue: Waste Valorization and Urban Economy: Pathways to Sustainable Transition and Resilient Environments. Her research focuses on recycling and valorization of organic wastes, particularly in extracting phosphorus and nitrogen from contaminated wastes using electrodialytic processes. Due to the relevant research carried out in this area, Dr. Oliveira received an award from the Fertiberia Group, which has the ambition to lead the development of green hydrogen and ammonia in Europe.
